President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov proposed building a Somatic Disease Control Center left over from childhood in the composition of the General Directorate of the International Medical Centers. Today the need for the construction of this Center was declared by the Head of state during a meeting held at the new hospital in Turkmenbashi, and the topic of the medical facilities construction was raised in the context of discussing the implementation of the State Program "Health", the Information Program "Watan" of the Turkmen Television reported.
Speaking of the expediency of this medical institution, the Head of Turkmenistan stressed that the main feature of the State Program is not treatment, but timely detection and prevention of diseases.
The Somatic Disease Control Center will be built on a free area next to the International Center for Surgery and Endocrinology.
The President of Turkmenistan also instructed to continue combating the spread of particularly dangerous infectious diseases.
