In accordance with the message posted on the official account of the Eifel Tower in Twitter, the height of the main Paris symbol increased by six meters and reached 330 meters. It happened after the installation of a new radio antenna on the top of the tower, the weight of which was 350 kg.
The antenna should improve the transmission of signals for digital radio, and, also, to complement the already installed transmitters. In addition, the device will allow broadcasting about 30 TV channels and 32 radio stations for 12 million residents of Paris, mir24 reports.
