Turkmenistan will strengthen control over the quality of construction of large facilities and structures for industrial and social purposes. Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the relevant Decree, the Information Program "Watan" of the Turkmen Television reported.

According to the document, the Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Heads of the Administrations of the Regions and the city of Ashgabat were instructed to control completion of construction and commissioning of relevant large facilities and structures on time and with high quality in 2022.

The Ministry of Finance and Economy, together with the Administrations of the Regions and the city of Ashgabat, received the instructions to draw up a monthly report on the construction progress of the above facilities and structures according to the schedule and submit it to the Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

As noted today at the Government meeting, the list of large buildings and facilities, to be completed and commissioned as scheduled in 2022, was revised and adjusted in line with the Investment Program for this year.

Signing the document, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed the need for prompt and active implementation of measures to put various facilities into operation. According to him, this year it is planned to complete a number of major projects in the energy sector, including the construction of the energy ring inside the country and the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan power transmission line, as well as important social and industrial facilities throughout the country.

Earlier it was reported that the total cost of all buildings under construction is $37 billion.
