A State Agency for Roads Construction Management established in Turkmenistan. Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the corresponding Decree "to further improve roads", the Information Program "Watan" of the Turkmen Television reported.

The new Agency is designated as the legal successor of the State Concern Turkmenawtoyollary ("Turkmen Roads") that joined the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan in January 2019.

To properly organize the operation of the State Agency for Roads Construction Management, the President of Turkmenistan signed a Decree approving the Central Office Organizational Chart of the aforementioned State Agency.

To recap, at the working meeting on January 24 of this year, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov separately touched upon the topic of road construction in Turkmenistan. Prosecutor General Batyr Atdayev informed that the investigation showed that due to the transfer of road construction equipment to the jurisdiction of the local administrations, the level of road construction decreased countrywide, the equipment is not used at full capacity and lack of spare parts. This makes a negative impact on the proper maintenance of roads and the construction of new ones in the country.
