The procedure for the use of assisted reproductive technologies, contraindications and restrictions for their use is approved in Turkmenistan. The document was published on the legal information portal of the Ministry of Justice of Turkmenistan.
According to him, in vitro and artificial insemination, cryopreservation and other types of assisted reproductive technologies are carried out by medical institutions specializing in reproductive medicine, upon the voluntary consent of the couple after a thorough examination.
First of all, patients should undergo primary examinations (5 types) to determine the indications for ART and establish the causes of infertility. The duration of the examination is no more than 6 months.
If, after establishing the cause of infertility and conducted conservative and surgical treatment, pregnancy did not occur within 9-12 months, patients are referred for ART.
When preparing for an ART program, contraindications to their use are determined. For this, a man and a woman are examined.
