Foreign ministers of Turkmenistan and Iran Rashid Meredov and Hossein Amir Abdollahiyan discussed the expansion of bilateral partnership in the field of political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian interaction today, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said.
The interlocutors paid special attention to the implementation of the agreements reached during the meeting of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Ebrahim Raisi on the sidelines of the summit of heads of state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Dushanbe.
The heads of the foreign affairs agencies expressed their readiness to hold the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Iranian Commission on Economic Cooperation.
During the conversation, the Turkmen side invited a high-ranking Iranian delegation to participate in international events to be held in Turkmenistan this year.
