On March 17, a Boeing 757-200 aircraft of Turkmen Airlines landed at the international airport of Turkmenabat in the Lebap velayat. A special plane delivered 179 citizens of Turkmenistan from the capital of Tajikistan - Dushanbe. 168 of them are graduates of Tajik universities who were forced to stay in this country after the termination of flights due to the coronavirus pandemic.
One of the passengers told “Turkmenportal” that all those who arrived on a charter flight from Tajikistan passed tests for the presence of coronavirus. According to preliminary data, the result was negative for all. Despite this, in accordance with WHO recommendations, passengers on this flight will undergo a mandatory three-week quarantine.
As it became known to “Turkmenportal”, in the near future another flight will be organized to take out Turkmen citizens, this time from Uzbekistan.
