Turkmen-German political consultations were held in the foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan today in the format of a video conference. The delegations were headed by Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Vepa Hadjiev and German Foreign Ministry Commissioner for Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia Michael Siebert. The parties discussed in detail the level of trade and economic partnership. The role of German companies in the development of various sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan was noted. The sides exchanged views on expanding cooperation in the energy and transport sectors.

The effectiveness of cooperation on environmental safety, namely, the Green Central Asia initiative, was reviewed. The positive experience of cooperation in the field of healthcare was noted, and the need to strengthen consultations between specialists in the field of medicine was emphasized.

The parties also discussed cultural and humanitarian cooperation: opportunities for developing joint projects in the field of archeology and cooperation in the field of education with the active coordinating role of the German society for international cooperation.
