President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, accompanied by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Shamuhammet Durdylyev and the mayor of Ashgabat Yaztagan Gylyjov, got acquainted with the progress of work on further transformation of the architectural appearance of the capital's center.

The Deputy Prime Minister and the head of the city administration reported on the state of Affairs in this area, the measures taken to improve Ashgabat.

Speaking about the need to modernize some buildings, especially those located in the center of the capital, the head of state noted that they should be harmoniously combined with the architectural ensemble of the main city of the country.

Then the Deputy Prime Minister and hyakim of the capital reported on the preparations for the upcoming significant dates, in particular, the events planned on the occasion of the annually celebrated Day of the city of Ashgabat.

Having ordered to ensure a high organizational level of events dedicated to the day of the city of Ashgabat, the President stressed that this work should be carried out in preparation for the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality.

Pointing to the need for a responsible and integrated approach to the successful implementation of the tasks outlined in the program of socio-economic development of the capital, the head of state instructed to ensure the coordinated work of the involved structures.

Stressing that the work carried out in Ashgabat aimed at creating favorable conditions for residents should be effective, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished success in fulfilling the tasks set, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
