President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov demanded to expand the range of textile products and increase their competitiveness in international markets. Relevant instructions were given to the Minister of textile industry Resul Rejepov during a working government meeting, which discussed issues related to the implementation Of the concept of digital economy development for 2020-2025, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

Stressing the need for products to comply with international standards and environmental safety, the head of state addressed specific instructions to the Minister of textile industry. The importance of introducing digital technologies into production and creating favorable working conditions for industry specialists was also noted.

The President of Turkmenistan identified the implementation of investment projects as other promising areas for future activities. It is necessary to pay attention to the issues of reconstruction of enterprises operating in all velayats of the country, construction of new high-tech complexes and increasing employment of the population, the President said.

The importance of timely commissioning of textile complexes under construction in the Kaka and Babadayhan etraps was also stressed, and as a result, increasing the export potential of the industry.
