The task of the Vietnamese team is to get into the top five at the Asian Futsal championship-2020 in Ashgabat. This was stated at a press conference in Hanoi by the Chairman of the Vietnam professional football Association (VPF), Chan Anh Tu. 

It should be noted that at the Asian Futsal championship, which will be held from February 26 to March 8 in Ashgabat, the national team of Vietnam will play in group "A", where its rivals will be the teams of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Oman. 16 teams will participate in the Asian championship-2020, which are divided into four groups. The top two teams of each group will advance to the playoffs.  

Continental competitions will be hosted by the Olympic complex, where the V Asian indoor and martial arts games were held in September 2017. According to the results of the Asian championship, the top 5 teams will be eligible to compete in the world championship, which will be held from September 12 to October 4, 2020 in Lithuania.

The national team of Turkmenistan has a task to reach the quarterfinals or semifinals at the Asian Futsal championship-2020. The Vietnamese team is ranked 44th in the world ranking of Futsal teams and is a fairly strong Asian team. The national team of Turkmenistan is on the 69th line.
