The players of the national team of Turkmenistan will play in green away kits in a friendly match against the team of Kuwait, who will enter the football field in blue kits. This was announced today at a pre-match meeting in the city of Kuwait with the participation of delegations of Turkmenistan and Kuwait.

The match will take place on October 15 at the Al-Kuwait Sports Stadium with a capacity of 18.599 spectators. The beginning is at 21.00 Ashgabat time.

At the national team level, the teams of Turkmenistan and Kuwait played each other three times. As part of the qualification of the 1996 AFC Asian Cup, our compatriots lost 0:2 in away match and played a draw 2:2 — in Ashgabat. And on February 10, 2000, as a part of the 2000 AFC Asian Cup qualifying tournament, Turkmen footballers suffered a major defeat — 1:6.

The Kuwait national football team is the national team of Kuwait and is controlled by the Kuwait Football Association. Kuwait made one World Cup finals appearance, in 1982, managing one point in the group stages.
