At the “Berkarar” shopping center in Ashgabat, a Korean week was held, with the participation of representatives of the Korean embassy in Turkmenistan and other participants. The event conducted to introduce Korean traditional clothes “Hanbok”. The event was initiated by the Korean embassy in Turkmenistan. 

During the event, the correspondent of Turkmenportal was lucky to have an exclusive interview with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Korean Republic in Turkmenistan Ki-hoon Chin.

- Please, can you tell us about the purpose of this event?

 - Yes, we introduce the beauty of hanbok and this is very colorful and stylish. Particularly it has common with Turkmenistan's traditional fashion. In ancient times during Silk Road, we changed the silk and materials. We are very happy to share our traditions with Turkmenistan's tradition and we can change our ideas with traditions. On this occasion, our friendship will increase. I am very happy to introduce hanbok in Turkmenistan. 

 - How do you evaluate the Korean and Turkmenistan relations? 

 - Turkmenistan and Korean relations increase not only the energy field, it increases culture and in education also. Recently one Korean language center at the Turkmen National Institute of Foreign Languages, named after D. Azadi opened. The Korean language will be also teaching in the secondary school of Turkmenistan. In this way, Korean education is more popular in Turkmenistan. I am very happy our relations not only in the energy field and it increases in energy transportation, education and culture also. 

 - What do you see in nearly future of Turkmenistan Korean relations?

 - Our relations will be closer in every field. Our cooperation will be increased. Because Korean people love Turkmenistan and more people interested in business conditions, so our mutual relations will be increased. For example, not only bilateral issues and in Global issues also like climate change, water resources. We have more areas of cooperation like Korea and Central Asia forum. We expect our relations to move to the next level.
