On August 6, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Baku hosted a conference dedicated to the significance of the upcoming meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, as well as the UN General Assembly resolution “International Year of International Law, 2028,” adopted at the initiative of Turkmenistan.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the event was attended by professors and scientists from the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Turkmen students, representatives of the Turkmen diaspora, and the media.

It was particularly emphasized that during the next meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, which will take place on September 23, the results of the achieved successes will be summarized, the results of the work completed will be reviewed, and further priority areas for the development of the state will be identified.

Conference participants were also presented with the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to declare 2028 the International Year of International Law.
