Mohamed Salah will continue his career at Turkish club “Trabzonspor”

The Turkish football club “Trabzonspor” has signed a contract with the Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah. This was announced by the club’s press office.

No details have been given regarding the duration of the player’s contract. According to journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoğlu, Salah’s contract is for two years.

Salah is 34 years old; he played for English side “Liverpool” from the summer of 2017, leaving the club at the end of last season. During his time with the club, he made a total of 442 appearances in various competitions, scoring 257 goals and providing 123 assists. The Egyptian is third on the list of the team’s top scorers, behind Welsh striker Ian Rush (339) and English forward Roger Hunt (280).

With “Liverpool”, Salah has won the English Premier League title, the Champions League, the FA Cup, the Community Shield, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup, and has also won the English League Cup twice.

“Trabzonspor” are seven-time Turkish champions and are also the current holders of the Turkish Cup, which they have won ten times. Last season, “Trabzonspor” finished seventh in the league.
