Yagshimuradov's fight with Powell at the PFL tournament has been postponed to August 7

The fight between Turkmen mixed martial artist Dovletjan Yagshimuradov and Briton Simeon Powell, scheduled for the PFL New York tournament, has been postponed from July 31 to August 7. The athlete announced this on his social media account.

According to him, the postponement is due to technical issues with his opponent's commission. Yagshimuradov expressed hope that the situation will be resolved soon and the fight will take place on the new date.

The fight was scheduled to take place at UBS Arena in Long Island, New York. Yagshimuradov is ranked second in the PFL light heavyweight rankings, while Powell is ranked fifth.

Yagshimuradov last fought in April 2026 at the PFL Belfast tournament, defeating Tyson Pedro by unanimous decision. The Turkmen athlete has a record of 26 wins, eight losses, and one draw.

Powell's last fight was in May 2026 at the PFL Sioux Falls event, defeating Emiliano Sordi via third-round technical knockout. His record stands at 12 wins and two losses.
