Six Turkmen schoolchildren took part in the 67th International Mathematical Olympiad, which was held in Shanghai from July 10 to 21.

Agaperman Berdymyradov, a 12th-grade student from secondary school No. 40 in Yoloten etrap, Mary velayat, won the silver medal. Bronze went to Begench Akmyradov, a 12th-grade student from specialized secondary school No. 49 in Ashgabat; Myaliksha Meylismuradov, a 12th-grade student from specialized secondary school No. 86 in Ashgabat; and Hemra Gurbanov, a 10th-grade student from the same school.

685 talented schoolchildren from 119 countries took part in the international competition, according to the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
