On June 6–7, 2026, Turkmenistan participated in the Setagaya Festival in Tokyo with a booth showcasing the country's culture and history.

The exhibit included cultural heritage items, national dishes, sweets, folk crafts, and souvenirs.

According to the organizers, the stand generated significant interest among local residents: visitors viewed informational materials about the country and inquired about visiting it. The event contributed to the development of cultural ties between Turkmenistan and Japan.
