A mass bike ride is planned for June 3 in the capital. Deputy Prime Minister B. Mammedov announced this at a meeting of the Government of Turkmenistan, speaking about preparations for physical education, sports, and health events dedicated to World Bicycle Day.

Also, to mark the holiday, from May 30 to June 3, cyclocross races, sports competitions, scientific and practical conferences, educational and other events are planned in the velayats and the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag.

In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister submitted a corresponding proposal for the head of state's consideration.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, noting that World Bicycle Day is an international sporting event that promotes a healthy and happy life, ordered the organized holding of the planned physical education and sports events in the country, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
