Turkmenistan's trade turnover with the CIS countries increased by 30% in the first quarter of 2026

Turkmenistan's trade turnover with the CIS countries increased by 30% in the first quarter of 2026, reaching 1,8 billion USD. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, at an expanded meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government in Ashgabat.

"Trade volume reached 1,8 billion USD, 30% higher than the same period last year," he said.

According to him, by the end of 2025, Turkmenistan's trade turnover with CIS countries will exceed 4 billion USD, an increase of 7,2% compared to the previous year. Trade and economic ties are developing most actively with Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Belarus.
