French football club “Paris Saint-Germain” advanced to the Champions League final after drawing 1-1 with German side “Bayern” Munich in the second leg of their semifinal.
The match took place in Munich. Ousmane Dembélé opened the scoring in the third minute, following a pass from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Harry Kane equalized in the 94th minute.
Kvaratskhelia became the first player in Champions League history to score in seven consecutive playoff matches in a single competition. This season, the Georgian midfielder has played 15 matches, scored ten goals, and provided seven assists.
PSG won the first leg 5-4 in Paris on April 28. The French club advanced to the final 6-5 on aggregate.
PSG's opponent in the decider will be London's Arsenal, which eliminated “Atlético” Madrid in the semifinals (1-1, 1-0). This is only the Gunners' second Champions League final in the club's history – their first appearance in the decider was in 2005/06, where they lost to Barcelona (1-2).
PSG reached the final for the second year in a row and are the current holders.
The Champions League final will be held on May 30 in Budapest.
