The Turkmen delegation is participating in the international forum "Yerevan Dialogue - 2026"

A delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov is participating in the Yerevan Dialogue 2026 international forum, which opened yesterday in the Armenian capital. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

In his speech, A. Gurbanov noted that Turkmenistan is actively strengthening the foundation of its energy sector through large-scale system modernization, increased energy efficiency, and consistent emission reductions. Particular attention was paid to the gradual expansion of renewable energy sources (RES) while maintaining the country's economic stability and social well-being.

It was emphasized that Turkmenistan has already taken concrete steps to create a favorable environment for a green energy transition, with particular attention paid to ensuring energy security, labor market adaptation, and balanced regional development.

The key priorities are: guaranteeing uninterrupted power supply to the population, training qualified personnel for a new profile, and ensuring equal access for all communities to the benefits of attracted investments.

The Turkmen speaker emphasized the importance of constructive international cooperation for the implementation of national plans, noting close collaboration with such authoritative partners as the UN and international financial institutions, the source notes.
