Scientists from the Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan brought back from scientific missions to a number of countries in Asia and Europe hundreds of copies of historical documents and manuscripts related to the creative heritage of Magtymguly Fragi, the history, literature, art and traditions of the Turkmen people.

As reported by “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, the Institute's employees Amandurdy Nurayev and Guychmyrat Changliev recently returned from a scientific mission to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. From November 2 to 23, they conducted a scientific search for such sources in London and Manchester.

Turkmen scholars worked at the National Library of Great Britain, where they studied sources related to the history, culture and art of the Turkmen people, paying particular attention to the search for new documents, previously unknown in Turkmenistan.

As a result of the work carried out, scientists brought electronic copies of 107 valuable manuscripts, including the “Divan” of Magtymguly Fragi and works related to the history of the Turkmen people by Hussein Baygara, Mane-baba, Enveri, Alisher Novai, Fizuli, Abdurrahman Jami, Lutfi and other famous authors.

There are also copies of the works of a number of scientists, which contain interesting information about the history, culture and traditions of the Turkmen, as well as copies of the works of many famous Eastern poets.

These new sources will help scientists to study the creative legacy of Magtymguly Fragi more deeply and comprehensively, the source notes.
