National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei and Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, CEO of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company Soltan Ahmed Al Jaber. During the meeting, they discussed prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov warmly welcomed the UAE representatives and expressed confidence that the visit of the fraternal country's delegation would contribute to strengthening the traditional dialogue and developing new areas of cooperation. He noted that Turkmenistan and the UAE maintain close partnership in various sectors, including fuel and energy, transport and communications, and finance.
Particular attention was paid to the Memorandum of Understanding signed last year between the State Concern “Türkmengaz” and the company “ADNOC”, which confirms the desire to further expand the bilateral partnership.
-Within the framework of this document, we confirm our desire to further expand bilateral partnership, - said the National Leader of the Turkmen people, inviting Emirati partners to actively participate in major energy projects being implemented in our country. At the same time, Turkmenistan’s readiness to consider specific proposals in this direction was expressed.
At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged best wishes and expressed confidence in the further development and strengthening of bilateral relations for the benefit of the fraternal peoples of the two countries.
