Turkmen athlete Rahmet Taganov won a silver medal at the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship, which is being held from October 22 to 28 in Heraklion, Greece.
This year's World Jiu-Jitsu Championship was a unique event, as for the first time in the history of this sport, competitions of all age groups are being held in one country. The tournament is attended by 3,500 athletes from 67 countries, making it one of the largest events in the world of jiu-jitsu.
The competition includes categories for men and women, youth, teenagers and juniors, boys and girls, as well as para-jiu-jitsu and the World Cup among children. Such a variety of categories allows athletes of different ages and skill levels to demonstrate their skills and compete for medals.
