Naberezhnye Chelny became the center of festive events dedicated to the release of the 2,5 millionth KAMAZ vehicle. The ceremony, which took place at the automobile plant, was attended by the top officials of the region and the federal level, “Realnoe Vremya” reports.
Rais Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, speaking to the audience, emphasized the special role of KAMAZ as a symbol of the republic. He noted that the path of the enterprise is a chronicle of overcoming challenges and achieving impressive results. The head of the region expressed gratitude to the plant's team for their work and to the country's leadership for their continued support.
The event was also attended by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov, the General Director of PJSC “KAMAZ” Sergey Kogogin and the Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny Nail Magdeev.
The guests visited the enterprise's scientific and technical center, where they got acquainted with the latest developments of KAMAZ, including mainline tractors, dump trucks, the innovative light commercial truck “KAMAZ-Compass” and buses. Minnikhanov and Alikhanov personally tested some models.
