The XXV Conference of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World was held yesterday in Ashgabat, in the Center of Public Organizations of Turkmenistan.
As reported by TDH, representatives of the Turkmen diasporas from a number of foreign countries, as well as delegates from all regions of Turkmenistan, took part in the work of the forum.
The agenda included a report on the work done and a discussion of priority areas for the future activities of the Association.
The participants heard a welcoming message from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Then the delegates of the forum were informed in detail about the successfully implemented large-scale socio-economic programs designed to increase the well-being of the people and the international authority of Turkmenistan.
Representatives from Germany, Afghanistan, the UAE, Turkey, talking about the activities of the foreign branches of the Association, proudly noted that today independent neutral Turkmenistan demonstrates in practice its desire to comprehensively develop traditional ties of friendship, mutual respect, good neighborliness and mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign countries in various fields. Turkmens living in different parts of the world preserve and pass on from generation to generation their native language and national traditions, honed over centuries, and spiritual and moral values.
Then the ceremony of awarding members of the Association with certificates of honor took place.
At the end of the XXV conference of the GATM, a thank you address to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was adopted.
As part of the conference, an exhibition of decorative and applied arts was launched, in all its glory reflecting the color and versatility of the rich cultural heritage of the Turkmen people, its history and original traditions, the source notes.
