The State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan held an online conference on the theme “Development of national handicrafts in the years of independence and study of the most important directions of world practice”.
According to “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, the event was organized by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan together with the Secretariat of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO and representatives of the Resource Center for innovation and preservation of traditions in the cultural sphere of the Republic of Tatarstan (RF).
The conference was accompanied by an exhibition of arts and crafts, which was held in the gallery of the Academy. The participants familiarized themselves with creative products and creativity of masters.
The conference included master classes of teachers of the Academy of Arts on carpet weaving, ceramics, jewelry making.
Nuryagdy Yagshimyradov, vice-rector for scientific work of the Academy of Arts, summarizing the results of the conference, expressed confidence that the dialogue with colleagues from Tatarstan will continue, the source said.
