A meeting with a UNICEF expert was held at the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan

On September 9, a meeting with UNICEF international expert Zlatko Nikoloski, who is in Ashgabat on a working visit within the framework of a program to strengthen the protection of children's rights, was held in the building of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan. This was reported on the website of the ministry.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry's International Department, General Secondary Education Department and Preschool Education Department.

The main objective of the meeting was to discuss the preliminary findings of the Situational Analysis conducted by UNICEF, as well as to develop recommendations for further strengthening children's rights in the country.

The participants exchanged views on a number of topical issues. Zlatko Nikoloski noted the importance of interdepartmental interaction and cooperation at all levels to ensure effective protection of children's rights.

Representatives of the Ministry of Education expressed their readiness for further cooperation and emphasized the importance of such meetings for developing long-term strategies.

The results of the discussions will form the basis for future programs implemented by UNICEF and the Government of Turkmenistan.

The results of the discussions will also be taken into account when developing the UNICEF Country Program for Turkmenistan for 2026-2030. It is expected that the program will include specific measures aimed at modernizing the education, health care and social protection systems for children, which will increase the awareness of the younger generation.
