A collection of props used in the making of “Friends”, including a replica of the iconic Central Perk coffee shop couch, will soon go up for auction in Los Angeles. “Izvestia” reports this with reference to The Telegraph.
The auction will offer more than a hundred memorabilia from the hit sitcom. Among the lots will be presented interior items from the apartment of Ross Geller, played by David Schwimmer. Of particular interest are the mahogany chest of drawers and the round ottoman in the Moroccan style.
Fans will be able to compete for other authentic items from Ross's home, including a ceramic bust and metal bookends that adorned his desk.
However, the main lot of the auction will undoubtedly be an exact copy of the famous sofa from Central Perk. It is estimated that its cost could reach almost 3000 USD.
The auction, which will take place in a month, is timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the first broadcast of the series. In addition to interior items, bidders will be able to bid on items from their favorite characters' wardrobes.
