Today, the first Ambassador of the Republic of Mauritius to Turkmenistan, Heswar Janke, presented copies of his credentials to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Mahri Bashimova, who congratulated the Ambassador and expressed the country's readiness to support and assist in his diplomatic work.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the parties discussed key areas in relations between Turkmenistan and Mauritius, confirming their desire to develop dialogue in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
It was proposed to organize regular political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two states to determine priority areas of cooperation and deepen relations.
The meeting participants also discussed the development of key documents on bilateral partnership and the possibility of exchanging experience in agronomy, water resources management and tourism, the source notes.
Heswar Janke became the first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Mauritius to Turkmenistan with residence in Moscow.
