Currently, a number of Korean companies are participating in Turkmenistan’s infrastructure breakthroughs. However, many more Korean entities are expressing great interest in being present in the prosperous Turkmen market.
This was stated by the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Turkmenistan Ji Kyu-Taek in an Interview with CentralAsia.news.
The diplomat noted that recently there has been a very high growth in both economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the Republic of Korea and Turkmenistan. The volume of orders for Korean companies to build new industrial clusters for the energy sector is increasing, and every year more and more Turkmen students come to Korean universities to receive a good education.
This dynamic in cooperation intensified during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Seok-Yul to Ashgabat in June this year, Ji Kyu-Taek believes.
“We have a lot of work ahead of us, and I hope that additional opportunities will be created for the development of cooperation between the two countries, including in the sphere of “green” and digital technologies,” the ambassador concluded.
Recall that following the negotiations in Ashgabat between the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Seok-yul, an impressive packet of bilateral documents was signed.
