Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Turkmenistan Bernd Heinze, who presented copies of his credentials.
As reported by the press service of the Foreign Ministry, R. Meredov congratulated B. Heinze on his appointment and expressed the Turkmen side's readiness to provide comprehensive support in his diplomatic activities. During the meeting, the parties noted the successful interstate cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic and social spheres, and also emphasized the importance of further development of cultural and educational ties.
Particular attention was paid to partnership in the trade and economic sphere, including effective cooperation with the Eastern Committee of German Economy. Both sides expressed their readiness to continue strengthening bilateral relations within the framework of the Central Asia-Germany dialogue.
