The delegation of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan took part in the events of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), which took place in Bucharest (Romania).
In particular, the 31st annual session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly took place on June 29. The meeting brought together parliamentarians, representatives of OSCE member states, as well as a number of international organizations. Participants discussed a wide range of issues related to security, cooperation and democracy in the OSCE region.
In their speech, representatives of Turkmenistan expressed the country’s commitment to peaceful diplomacy, economic cooperation, cultural dialogue and ensuring environmental stability. The active role of Turkmenistan in resolving important issues within the OSCE and developing cooperation between member states to ensure collective security and prosperity of the region was noted.
On June 30, delegates of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan took part in an inter-parliamentary conference held within the framework of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
The attention of the participants was focused on the importance of protecting human rights and freedoms, ensuring environmental safety and measures taken to combat climate change, according to the Mejlis website.
