In the new city of Arkadag, construction work on the Art Carpet Weaving Enterprise and the National Museum of Turkmen Carpet and Handicrafts will begin in January.
On January 10, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution according to which the State Committee for Construction of the City of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan is allowed to conclude an agreement with the private enterprise “Ajaýyp gurluşyk” for the design and construction of these facilities, as well as the improvement of the adjacent territories.
The document prescribes to begin construction work in January 2025 and to hand over the facilities fully operational in January 2027.
New facilities will be built in order to successfully implement the tasks set in the Program “Revival of a New Era of a Powerful State: National Program for Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan in 2022–2052”, to enhance the beauty of the architectural and urban appearance of the city of Arkadag, as well as to fulfill the tasks arising from the Concept for the Development of the City of Arkadag in 2024–2052, TDH reports.
