Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with Chairman of the Board of Management of the Çalik Holding group of companies Ahmet Chalyk, writes TDH.
During the conversation, the parties noted the historical fraternal ties between the Turkmen and Turkish peoples and expressed interest in expanding bilateral cooperation in various fields.
Ahmet Chalyk congratulated the National Leader of the Turkmen people on the recent commissioning of large energy facilities in Turkmenistan – the Balkan-Dashoguz high-voltage power transmission line and two electrical substations with a voltage of 500 kilovolts each.
During the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted the great contribution of Turkish companies to the socio-economic development of the country. In particular, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov pointed to the construction by Çalik Holding of a 1 574 MW power plant on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea, which will allow the export of electricity to neighboring countries, including Turkey.
Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty noted the wide opportunities for cooperation in the oil and gas industry and expressed his readiness to consider joint projects with Turkish partners.
