Large-scale joint military field exercises were held in the western region of Turkmenistan with the participation of representatives of various branches of the military and law enforcement agencies, TDH reports.
The main goal of the maneuvers is to increase combat training and practice coordinated actions of military personnel as part of the implementation of multifaceted military reform under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
During the exercises, units of the Armed Forces, including the naval forces, practiced tasks of neutralizing sabotage groups of a mock enemy, repelling air attacks and ensuring the territorial integrity of the country using the latest digital control systems and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Particularly noted were the actions of the Turkmen edermen special forces unit, which successfully completed the assigned combat missions, demonstrating high training, courage and mastery of modern weapons. An exhibition of military equipment, including samples of drones, was set up at the training ground.
The exercises in the Balkan velayat are part of a comprehensive program to strengthen the defense capability of neutral Turkmenistan and improve the professionalism of military personnel who follow the traditions of patriotism and heroism of the Turkmen people.
