The International Conference of Ministers of Culture dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great poet of the East Magtymguly Fragi started in Ashgabat. The event takes place in the capital's “Yyldyz” hotel. In the hotel lobby there is an exhibition of decorative, fine and photographic art. In addition, the book stands display the works of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, including collections of poems by Magtymguly.
The participants heard a welcoming address from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, which emphasized that the forum would give a powerful impetus to the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of culture, further activities in this area, in-depth study and wide popularization in the world of the rich literary heritage of Magtymguly Fragi, who called peoples to unity and peace in all over the Earth.
The moderator of the event is the Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan Atageldy Shamyradov. The conference is attended by delegations from Asian, European countries, representatives of the UN, TURKSOY, CIS and other organizations.
In the evening, the opening of the cultural and park complex and the Magtymguly Fragi monument is planned, where monuments to famous foreign writers are also erected, the electronic version of the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper reports.
