1. The proposal to create a new group of young horse breeders was put forward during a working trip to the city of Arkadag and a meeting with young fans of Ahal-Teke horses by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. As the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan noted, it is gratifying that the younger generation is interested in the principles of national horse breeding, emphasizing that this group should be supported through the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care.
2. The “Turkmenfilm” Association named after Oguzhan is preparing to release the film “Fathers and Sons”. The film is dedicated to family values, continuity of generations and traditions of the Turkmen people. The plot is based on the works of Magtymguly, as well as the reflections and ideas of the National Leader of the Turkmen people from his books “The Meaning of My Life” and “The Continuation of the Meaning of My Life”.
3. The annual meeting of the board and members of the Austrian-Turkmen Society was held in Ashgabat. The main topic of the agenda was strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and Austria. The head of the society, Neda Berger, spoke about its activities aimed at strengthening ties between the two countries. During a lively discussion, partnership opportunities in various sectors of the economy were discussed. The issue of signing a Memorandum of Cooperation between Turkmen and Austrian companies within the society for more targeted joint work was also discussed.
4. Ashgabat residents and guests of the capital are invited to a new show program of the State Circus of Turkmenistan, which will be held on May 18 and 19. The circus program is dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi. Spectators will be treated to performances by the national equestrian games group “Galkynysh”, acrobats, gymnasts, jugglers, and tightrope walkers. The program also includes performances with trained animals.
5. Director General of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Mammethan Chakyev, reported on plans to train international-level personnel for the country’s civil aviation sector. It is proposed to organize training of specialists in accordance with the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization, which will attract not only local but also foreign specialists to the training.

7. 62 years old Richard Slyman who received a pig kidney transplant in March 2024, died two months after the operation. Doctors have not established a connection between the patient's death and the transplant. Slyman suffered from hypertension and type 2 diabetes. In 2018, he received a donor kidney, but five years later it stopped functioning. In March 2024, he was transplanted with a kidney from a genetically modified pig, in which animal genes were replaced with human ones. The operation was successful and the patient was discharged from the hospital.

10. Leading boxers of Turkmenistan will take part in the 2nd World Olympic Boxing Qualification Tournament, which will be held in Bangkok from May 23 to June 3. At this prestigious tournament, tickets to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris are awarded. Moreover, Turkmenistan is considering the possibility of organizing an Asian boxing championship in the near future. 11. The Moscow football club “Dynamo” beat the Kaliningrad “Baltika” and topped the RPL standings. The blue and white scored 53 points and, 2 rounds before the end of the championship, are 2 points ahead of second-place “Zenit” St. Petersburg.
