The Russian-Turkmen archaeological expedition is planned to take place on the territory of Turkmenistan in September this year.
In this regard, the Russian Geographical Society announced a selection for participation in the expedition. The MIC reported this.
Excavations will be carried out in the village of Meana in order to study the way of life of the first farmers in the foothills of the Kopetdag on the border with Iran.
Participants in the expedition, organized by the Institute of the History of Material Culture of the Russian Academy of Sciences, will gain practical research skills under the guidance of famous archaeologists, as well as experience in group interaction in solving research problems.
