A 76-year-old Chinese man suffering from paralysis was able to write hieroglyphs using neuroimplants implanted in his brain. This became possible thanks to the development of scientists from Zhejiang University, as reported by TASS with reference to Zhongxinshe.

The neuroimplant decoded the patient's brain signals and transmitted them to a mechanical manipulator, which displayed hieroglyphs on the board. The character recognition accuracy was about 91%, which is an impressive result.

According to the researchers, this technology opens up new possibilities for helping people with limited mobility. In the future, neuroimplants may make it possible to control exoskeletons with the power of thought, which will return lost mobility to people with paralysis.
