“Roma” forward Serdar Azmoun ended his goal drought by scoring in the match against “Bologna” in the 33rd round of Serie A, reports euro-football.ru.
Azmoun scored in the 56th minute of the match, reducing the gap for his team (1-2). As a result, the match ended with the score (1-3) in favor of “Bologna”. This is the Iranian's first goal at club level in more than two months. The last time he scored was on February 18 in a match against “Frosinone” (3:0).
Let us remind that at the end of March, Serdar Azmoun, together with the Iranian national team, visited Ashgabat to participate in the 2026 World Cup qualifying match against the Turkmenistan national team. Unfortunately, due to an injury, the Iranian striker of Turkmen origin was unable to take the field.
Despite this, Azmoun was warmly received by the local public. In one of his interviews, he admitted that he was very happy to be in the capital of Turkmenistan after a long break.
