The President of Turkmenistan signed an Order to hold an international beauty contest of Ahal-Teke horses on April 27, 2024 in the city of Arkadag, writes TDH.
This decision was made “in order to further increase the world fame of the “paradise” horses, which are the national treasure and pride of the Turkmen people, as well as in accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan No. 12657 “On holding competitions on the occasion of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse” dated November 16, 2012”.
In addition to the Ahal-Teke horse beauty contest, the Order also provides for the holding of other competitions as part of the celebration of the National Turkmen Horse Day.
In particular, competitions are planned among artists, sculptors, carpet makers, jewelers, photographers, publishing workers, designers and television cameramen. Their task will be the artistic embodiment of the beauty of Ahal-Teke horses in works of fine and decorative art, printed materials, photographs and on television channels. The composition of the jury to evaluate all these competitions is also approved by this Order.
