The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan discussed the Caspian Action Plan for 2024

The 61st meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Caspian Sea Issues was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The central topic of the meeting was the discussion of the Action Plan for 2024 in key areas of cooperation in the Caspian region, reports the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

As the meeting participants noted, the Plan covers issues of economics, security, transport, ecology and international events. Particular attention is paid to the implementation of environmental diplomacy.

The speakers emphasized that, under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the country consistently takes a proactive position in developing balanced decisions on the legal status of the Caspian Sea.

Turkmenistan made a significant contribution to the formation of the legal framework for multilateral cooperation in the region.

The heads of ministries and departments that are part of the Interdepartmental Commission declared their readiness to further increase cooperation with the Caspian states within the framework of international law. Strengthening relations of friendship, good neighborliness and broad partnership in the Caspian region will remain a priority.
