In Ashgabat, the traditional exhibition-competition Gözellik döredýän zenanlar, dedicated to International Women's Day, was solemnly opened at the Exhibition Center of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan.
The exhibition presents works by women artists glorifying the traditions and culture of the Turkmen people, native nature, the beauty of girls, women and mothers, and the onset of spring.
The exhibition, which includes works in a rich variety of genres, unfolded on two floors of the Exhibition Center, reports the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
Painting, graphics, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry and design solutions made by professional artists and amateurs of arts and crafts were highly appreciated by the competition jury and guests of the exhibition.
The theme of many works is devoted to the heritage and personality of the outstanding poet Magtymguly Fragi, whose 300th anniversary is celebrated this year in Turkmenistan and throughout the world on a grand scale.
The best works of the artists were rewarded with memorable gifts from the National Center of Trade Unions, the Women's Union and the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan.
The activities of teachers and students of the State Academy of Arts and the Turkmen State Special Art School were also noted. They were awarded certificates of honor from the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Union of Artists of the country.
