Scientists from the Magtymguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan brought from a scientific trip to India electronic copies of 69 manuscripts that are of great value for the study of the history and culture of the Turkmen people, reports the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

As a result of working with the collections of leading libraries and museums in India, Turkmen scientists were able to discover many previously unknown historical documents, literary works and other written sources in Turkmenistan that are directly related to the past of the Turkmen people.

Among the most valuable finds are the handwritten and richly illustrated works of Bayram Han, manuscripts of the founders of the Mughal and Qutub Shah dynasties, treatises on medicine, horse breeding and archery. Of particular interest are the manuscripts of Myane Baba, Fizuli, Kashi and Khosrov Dehlavi, which shed light on issues of Turkmen literature.

During the trip, Turkmen scientists held negotiations with Indian colleagues on issues of further cooperation in the field of studying and popularizing Turkmen literature, as well as the creative heritage of Magtymguly Fragi, which is especially relevant in light of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet this year.
