1. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov accepted the credentials of the new Indian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat on Tuesday. During the meeting, the Head of State noted that Turkmenistan and India have fruitful relations that go back centuries and are based on strong ties of friendship and principles of mutual respect. Ambassador Bhagat thanked President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the warm welcome and assured of her commitment to further strengthening friendly relations between the countries.
2. This year, Uzbekistan will widely celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi. In Uzbekistan, where Magtymguly's poetry is very popular, a number of events are planned to mark the anniversary. His selected works and scientific works about his life and work will be published. It is planned to create a feature film with the cooperation of filmmakers from Turkmenistan, and conferences, exhibitions, theatrical performances and other cultural events dedicated to this significant date will also be held. 6. The country's first cat cafe, called Cats&friends, opened in the capital of Uzbekistan. All the furry inhabitants of the cafe are wards of the “Cute Cats” shelter.
