1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov awarded six members of the diplomatic service the “Skilled Diplomat of Turkmenistan” insignia. The head of state timed the corresponding Resolution to coincide with the Day of Diplomatic Workers celebrated on February 18. The insignia for diplomatic service employees was established in Turkmenistan in 2021.
2. A specialized training center “Diplomatic Protocol” opened at the Institute of International Relations of the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Diplomatic protocol is a set of rules, traditions and conventions observed by governments, foreign departments, diplomatic missions, and other officials in the process of international communication. The decision to open a Training Center at the IIR will increase the research and intellectual potential of one of the leading universities in Turkmenistan.
3. The delegation of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan made a working visit to Kazakhstan, where they discussed with the leadership of the Ministry of Culture and the Akimat of Astana the holding of Culture Days of the two countries in 2024. The Turkmen side informed about preparations for the ceremonial holding of its Culture Days in Astana this year. Noting the importance of such events for strengthening ties between peoples, the Kazakh side assured of its readiness to provide comprehensive assistance in the organization.
4. On March 17-18, the exhibition center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan will host a multidisciplinary exhibition dedicated to the 16th anniversary of the creation of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, at which new products from the domestic industry and service sector will be presented. Visitors will be able to get acquainted with the modern achievements of the private sector of the economy of Turkmenistan - see examples of innovative products of enterprises, new types of services offered by businesses.
5. The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Russia Esen Aydogdyev met with the General Director of the Tretyakov Gallery Elena Pronicheva. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of organizing an exhibition of Turkmen artists and sculptors at the Tretyakov Gallery.

6. Major UK universities including Cambridge, Oxford and the London School of Economics have united to demand stronger action from banks in the fight against climate change. A coalition of 21 universities has warned it will withdraw 5 billion pounds sterling from banks if they do not meet strict “green” investment criteria.

Türkiye has made a real breakthrough in the field of television, overtaking countries such as Korea, Mexico and Brazil in the export of TV series, and taking an honorable third place after the USA and Great Britain. On the eve of the Day of Diplomatic Workers, friendship sports games were held in the Olympic village of Ashgabat with the participation of employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in the country. Diplomats competed in sports such as table tennis, mini-football, volleyball and bowling. The competition participants noted the importance of such sporting events, which promote informal communication and strengthening friendly ties between representatives of different countries.
