On the eve of the Russian presidential elections, the Russian Embassy in Ashgabat agreed with the Turkmen side on the opening of five polling stations in the largest cities of Turkmenistan, reports TASS.
It is expected that polling stations will be opened in Ashgabat, Turkmenbashy, Turkmenabad, Mary and Dashoguz.
This will permit maximum coverage of Russian citizens living in Turkmenistan and having the right to vote. Low mobility and elderly voters will also be taken into account - mobile voting at home will be organized for them.
The elections of the President of Russia are scheduled by the Federation Council for March 17, 2024. According to the decision of the Russian Central Election Commission, voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17.
