The renewed flag of Kyrgyzstan was solemnly raised in Bishkek. The ceremony was attended by officials, including the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Secretary of State, heads of departments and deputies, reports “MIR 24”.
The changes affected the shape of the beams and the number of crossbars in the central part of the flag. Previously, the rays of the flag were wavy, now they are straight. Also, in the center of the flag there are now four bars instead of three.
The law on changing the state symbol was adopted by the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan in December 2023.
Official documents with the image of the previous flag will be valid until their expiration date, and vehicle license plates will be valid until a decision is made on their replacement.
